How Did It All Start?
Back in the 1980s, the land that is now Salt Creek Golf Links was primarily being rented to local farmers for cattle pasture. Around that same time, after seeing the growing interest in golf within the community, Elmer Laver began imagining something more. While riding his 4-wheeler near the large pine tree overlooking Salt Creek, he envisioned creating a small 9-hole par 3 golf course nestled within the beautiful countryside landscape.
What began as a simple idea and a passion for the game has since grown into the welcoming and enjoyable golf destination that Salt Creek Golf Links is today. From beginners picking up a club for the first time to experienced golfers looking for a relaxed and scenic round, we’re proud to welcome everyone to enjoy the course and become part of the story.
